This photo shows some of the boys during a 1974 campout placing a dutch oven in a 'bean hole' for cooking. Scoutmaster Carl Hertle told how the boys would prepare supper in the dutch oven and bury it in the ground with hot coals. While the boys were out and about for the day, their supper would cook in the dutch oven.
